Delhi Gurgaon Expressway toll rates
New Delhi, January 12, 2008


It is to inform that the Delhi-Gurgaon stretch of National Highway NO.8 between km 14.300 to km 42.00 has been upgraded to 8/6 lane facility and is partially access controlled with service roads on either side at many a locations. The project has been implemented under a Concession Agreement signed between National Highways Authority of India and M/s Jaypee-DSC Ventures Ltd. on Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis on 18th day of April 2002. As per Concession Agreement, the Concessionaire is entitled to recoup investment by collection of user fee from commuters of the project facility w.e.f. the date when the facility is commercially thrown open to the traffic, which will be notified separately in due course of time. For this purpose, three toll plazas have been erected on the project highway, namely, one at Delhi-Haryana border (km. 24.00), second at the end of project reach i.e. at km. 42.00 and one more toll plaza at the intersection of a loop leading to Indira Gandhi International Airport (International Terminal). Following are the rates of user fee to be levied from various category of vehicles as given in the table below:-

Notes: The aforesaid fee shall be revised at the beginning of each financial year w.e.f. 1st April every year.

The following vehicles shall be exempted from payment of user fee:-


Ambulances, fire tenders and official vehicles transporting and accompanying the President of India, the Vice-President of India, the Prime Minister of India, Ministers of Government of India, Governors, Lt. Governors, Chief Ministers, Presiding Officers of Central and State Legislatures having jurisdictions, Ministers of State Government, Judges of the Supreme Court of India and of the High Courts having jurisdiction, Secretaries and Commissioner of State Government, Foreign Dignitaries on State Visit to India, Heads of Foreign Missions stationed in India using cars with CD symbol, Executive Magistrates, officers of Ministry of Road Transport & Highways and National Highways Authority of India, persons required to use the project for discharging their statutory obligations in relation to the site, Independent Consultant and Central and State Forces in uniform including Armed Forces, Paramilitary Forces and Police.

Concessional Passes for Local Commercial & Local Personal Traffic shall be applicable for vehicles wishing to avail of the concessional pass facility for a calendar month. The following discounted rates shall be applicable:

Local Personal Traffic: 50% of the applicable fees for the specified category of vehicles.
Local Commercial Traffic: 66% of the applicable fees for the specified category of vehicles.
